We reviewed the incentives available to companies that hire registered young people.
The National Youth Guarantee System is a European initiative that aims to facilitate young people's access to the labor market, providing companies with a series of benefits.
To access this Plan, a series of requirements must be met :
– Be citizens of the European Union or have an authorization to reside in the Spanish State that enables the young person to work in said territory.
– To be registered in any locality within the Spanish national territory.
– Be over 16 and under 30 years of age at the time of applying for registration.
– Not having worked in the 30 calendar days prior to the date of the application.
– Not having received educational activities that involve more than 40 hours per month in the 90 calendar days prior to the date of submission of the application.
– Not having received training courses that involve more than 40 hours per month in the 30 calendar days prior to the date of submission of the application.
– Submit an express declaration of interest in participating in the National Youth Guarantee System, making a commitment to active participation in the actions developed within the framework of the Youth Guarantee.
Once the young person is registered in the System, companies and the self-employed will be able to hire them and, provided they meet the conditions established for each incentive, a series of benefits in Social Security contributions can be applied:
1. A €300 reduction in the employer's social security contributions for the young person, for 6 months.
2. Work-study contract. This contract offers incentives of up to 100% on employer social security contributions for common contingencies.
3. A minimum exemption of €500 from the contribution base for permanent contracts for 24 months. This benefit is compatible with the one mentioned in the previous point.
4. Apprenticeship Contract. This contract offers a reduction of up to 100% in employer social security contributions for companies with up to 250 employees, and 75% for larger companies. It also includes a bonus of up to 25% for training activities, which must be at least 25% in the first year and 15% in the second and third years.
