Anyone who consults the Commercial Registry will be able to verify that “Àmbit Assessor, SL” is a company incorporated on October 25, 1988, in Olesa de Montserrat, with the purpose of advising the Company on tax, accounting and labor matters.
But our long-standing customers will remember that this is a limited company that succeeded a civil partnership, which in turn succeeded a sole proprietorship. The first operations of the current Ambit date back to November 2, 1982, more than 30 years ago.
Àmbit was born in an environment of political transition and severe economic crisis, almost with the creation of modern taxation in Spain, and at that time it oriented its services to an absolutely local market, thinking mainly about the self-employed entrepreneur. Like many, our story is that of an “entrepreneur”; a new service, a start without resources, a lot of effort and a great vision.
In that year I began university studies in economics at the Central University of Barcelona, and I worked on Saturdays "doing accounting." I prefer not to remember what computing and communications were like at the time, but I can't resist mentioning an anecdote: we were the second company in the municipality of Olesa de Montserrat with Telefax. Today it sounds strange, but the banks and the town hall used ours.
Àmbit Assessor has always been a company with vision and strategy, both of which are based on three pillars: professionalism, hard work, and technology. This combination has led us to our current firm: eighteen people, offices in Barcelona and Olesa de Montserrat, and more than 400 companies we advise.
Now Àmbit is taking another step in this evolution, enhancing its more specialized legal and financial services, and this will be implemented through a professional corporation. We are pleased to announce the incorporation of “Àmbit Jurídic y Económic, SLP”
The first thing we must say about “Àmbit Jurídic” is that it is a group company, which means that it is managed or administered by the same management team, but it has complete management autonomy.
And the second is that it will focus on the activities of lawyers (contracting, negotiation and litigation) and economists (financing, business plan and management control), currently residual and supplementary in Àmbit.
Why a new company? Because Àmbit wants these activities to be neither residual nor supplementary; it wants to offer legal and financial services to its clients with greater guarantees, and that involves incorporating talent, new professional partners who strengthen the group's offering, expanding the current financial, legal, labor and commercial contractual services to areas such as commercial litigation, insolvency, administrative or internal audit.
One more step towards our vision, we want to be the technostructure or professional staff of the SME.
