COVID-19. Social Security launches a simulator to find out if you are eligible for the minimum living income

The Social Security Administration has just launched a web simulator so that those interested can get an idea of whether they could opt for this aid for their families, and the amount they could be entitled to, in accordance with Royal Decree-Law 20/2020, of May 29, which has regulated the minimum living income, which is configured as a new economic benefit in its non-contributory modality of the Social Security Administration.

As we have already informed you, Royal Decree-Law 20/2020, of May 29, has regulated the minimum living income, through a non-contributory Social Security benefit, and with effects from June 1, 2020.

The purpose of the regulation is to create and regulate the minimum living income (hereinafter, IMV) as a benefit aimed at preventing the risk of poverty and social exclusion of people who live alone or integrated into a cohabitation unit, when they are in a situation of vulnerability due to a lack of sufficient economic resources to cover their basic needs.

The IMV is configured as the subjective right to a benefit of an economic nature that guarantees a minimum level of income to those who are in a situation of economic vulnerability under the terms defined in this Royal Decree-Law 20/2020.

Well, the Social Security Administration has just launched a web simulator so that those interested can get an idea of whether they might be eligible for this benefit for their families, and the amount they could receive.
This simulator will ask you a series of questions about your situation and, based on your answers, you can check if you meet the requirements to receive the Minimum Living Income (IMV) benefit and find out the approximate amount you would be entitled to.
Please note that this simulation does not process the benefit application, and the result is for informational purposes only.
