New options for the company's financial management.
In recent years, new companies dedicated to financial intermediation, known as Fintech (Finance + Technology), have experienced significant growth. These companies utilize the latest technologies to offer financial products and services, representing a new alternative to traditional banking. While their size in Spain is currently small, rapid growth is expected in the coming years.
Their services are divided into four main areas: Payments and transactions, Personal finance management, Consulting and marketing platforms, and Financing and credit granting proposals.
One of its main objectives is the reduction of costs in financial transactions, using technology for this purpose; this is how mobile banking, predictive models based on big data, cryptocurrencies or automated process management are developed.
Another important objective is to explore alternatives to traditional financing, such as crowdfunding or collective financing.
Recent studies show that in Spain, just over 45% of finance professionals use some type of Fintech product. The most popular solutions among these professionals are related to payments and transfers, automated process management and digitization, as well as mobile banking. Crowdfunding and financial advisory services have less penetration, while cryptocurrencies are marginal.
Fintech users primarily value greater efficiency in their processes, time savings, immediacy of information, and disintermediation of processes; ultimately, all of this results in economic savings.
