If you are self-employed, do you know that you are required to have a digital certificate?

As of October 1, 2018, the Social Security Administration, through Ministerial Order OM ESS/214/2018 of March 1, established the obligation to manage all procedures related to affiliation, contributions, and collection of fees electronically. This includes receiving notifications and communications from the General Treasury of the Social Security Administration by appearing on the SEDESS (Social Security Electronic Office).

Thus, after the regulatory period of 6 months from March 1, 2018, all self-employed individuals who do not yet have a digital certificate must obtain one in order to receive notifications and carry out procedures through the electronic office. Until now, only companies and self-employed individuals with employees were required to receive electronic notifications by appearing on the SEDESS website.

At Ambit Assessor we offer a support service for obtaining a digital certificate if you don't have one or don't know how to get one. We also offer our Electronic Notification Service, which guarantees you will receive communications from the Tax Administration and Social Security in a personalized and confidential manner.
