Interruption of the deadline for returning products purchased by any means, whether in person or online

Effective from March 18, Royal Decree-Law 8/2020 on urgent extraordinary measures to address the economic and social impact of COVID-19, which includes a series of measures, among which it is established that during the validity of the State of Alarm or its possible extensions, the deadlines for the return of products purchased by any means, whether in person or online, are interrupted.

Effective from March 18, Royal Decree-Law 8/2020 includes a series of measures, among which we would like to highlight the one concerning the return of purchased products.

The regulation, which came into effect on March 18 and will remain in force for one month from that date, without prejudice to the possibility of its extension by the Government through a royal decree-law following an assessment of the situation, establishes that during the State of Emergency or any possible extensions, the deadlines for returning products purchased by any means, whether in person or online, are suspended.
Furthermore, all products purchased before the State of Emergency and whose return period falls within this period will also have their refund deadline extended.

The calculation of time limits will resume when Royal Decree 463/2020, of March 14, declaring the State of Alarm or, where applicable, its extensions, ceases to be in force
