MGI Worldwide admitted as a member of the Forum of Firms

MGI Worldwide, one of the world's leading alliances of professional firms, of which Àmbit Assessor is a part, is now a member of the Forum of Firms.

A new commitment to the highest quality.

Membership in the Forum of Firms implies a greater commitment to the quality of accounting processes and the financial information provided, due to direct involvement in global decision-making. It allows for constructive participation in the evolution of the regulatory framework within the context of audit and accounting quality.

MGI Worldwide CEO Clive Viegas Bennett stated, “The extensive joining process included a very thorough review of our quality assurance processes. Becoming a member of the Forum of Firms represents the logical extension of our strategy to improve the quality of our members worldwide.”

Clive continued: “We now have a seat at the forum table with approximately 30 other international networks. We have already contributed, along with other forum members, to the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) discussions on its work in quality control, as well as other standards and codes. The forum and the standards regulators welcome the contribution of mid-level networks: being part of the Forum allows us to contribute even more.”

About the Forum of Firms

The Forum of Firms is an independent association with an international network of firms that perform global audits. The forum's objective is to promote consistent, high-quality standards for financial reporting and auditing practices worldwide by bringing together firms that perform global audits and engaging them more closely with IFAC's activities in audit and related areas.

Members of the Forum of Firms must demonstrate their commitment to adhering to and promoting the consistent application of high-quality audit practices worldwide, as detailed in the FoF Constitution. The Forum was founded in 2002 by the “Big Four” plus BDO and Grant Thornton and now has 31 members.
