New access to the subsidy for people over 52 years of age for fixed-term intermittent workers.

Withthis measure, they are given equal conditions and rights to the rest of the employed persons of the General Social Security Scheme protected by the contingency of unemployment.

Wewould like to inform you that Royal Decree-Law 3/2022, of March 1 (Official State Gazette of March 2), and effective from March 2, includes a set of social measures aimed at preventing situations of vulnerability among certain groups. Among these measures is a new one for workers over 52 years of age who are unemployed after having signed a fixed-term intermittent contract. This measure will particularly benefit those with periods of activity of less than six months, estimated at approximately 18,000 people per month. This group will receive a subsidy of 463 euros per month until they retire.

Finally, it should be noted that, as established by the fourth transitional provision of Royal Decree-Law 3/2022, sections 2 and 3 of this article 280 of the LGSS, in the wording in force before March 2, 2022 (date of entry into force of RDL 3/2022), will maintain their application for the subsidies of fixed discontinuous workers whose cause of action (the moment in which the waiting period of one month is fulfilled or the legal situation of unemployment occurs) has taken place before that date.
