Extraordinary aid for self-employed people in response to COVID-19 (2021)
On February 19th, a new registration period will open for self-employed workers to pre-register and be eligible for a new round of aid.
As in the last call, those who register will be considered applicants for the aid without having to take any other action and may be beneficiaries if they meet the requirements established in the corresponding call.
With reference to article 2 of this order, the submission of the prior registration form is a necessary condition to be able to receive the extraordinary aid, provided that the requirements set for its granting are met both in the regulatory bases and in the calls.
Furthermore, prior registration may remain valid if the budget allocation for the call for proposals is increased or if subsequent grants with the same objective and characteristics are announced. This validity period will be established in the corresponding call for proposals.

Application period:
From 9 a.m. on February 19th until 3 p.m. on February 26th.
Requirements for admission
- Having your tax domicile in a municipality of Catalonia.
- To be registered with the RETA or a mutual insurance company as an alternative system to the RETA before January 1, 2021.
- The taxable income of the applicant for the 2019 tax year must be equal to or less than 35,000 euros, if opting for the individual taxation system, and of the same amount, in relation to the part of the taxable income corresponding to the applicant, if opting for the joint taxation system.
- The net income from the activity throughout 2020 must not exceed the amount of 17,500 euros.
- Comply with the requirements set out in Article 13 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies.
- Not having received aid in accordance with Resolution TSF/1270/2020, of June 3, which opens the call for the granting of subsidies to promote self-employment of young people registered in the Youth Guarantee program for the year 2020, within the framework of the emergency plan of Decree Law 16/2020, of May 5, of urgent complementary measures in matters of transparency, social aid, hiring and mobility to deal with COVID-19.

Extraordinary aid for small businesses, micro-enterprises, cooperatives and self-employed workers with employees on furlough (ERTE)
New line of aid to support the groups and economic sectors most affected by the containment measures of the Covid-19 pandemic and to maintain jobs in the situation of Temporary Employment Regulation File (ERTO) of small companies, micro-enterprises and cooperatives.

Deadline for submitting applications
The application process for the aid will open on Monday, February 15th, and can be completed until February 22nd, 2021.
Beneficiaries
Small businesses, micro-enterprises, cooperatives and self-employed individuals with employees based in Catalonia and with employees in a Temporary Employment Regulation File (ERTO) active, as of January 31, 2021.
- Small businesses: those that employ fewer than 50 people and have an annual turnover or annual balance sheet total that does not exceed 10 million euros.
- Micro-enterprises: those that employ fewer than 10 people and have an annual turnover or annual balance sheet total that does not exceed 2 million euros.
- Cooperatives with fewer than 50 workers or cooperative members, and an annual turnover or annual balance sheet total not exceeding 10 million euros.
Amount of aid
Aid of 2,000 euros per worker in active ERTO situation, as of January 31, 2021, with a maximum of 30,000 euros per beneficiary.
Requirements
- Having active ERTO workers as of January 31, 2021.
- Maintain the same number of employees as of December 31, 2021, compared to December 31, 2020.
- In the event of non-compliance by the beneficiary, the grant will be revoked and the beneficiary will have to reimburse the full amount of the grant received, plus the corresponding late payment interest.
- To calculate the number of workers, you must take into account the total number of workers, regardless of the type of work schedule.
