Bonus for workers included in the Special Regime for Self-Employed Workers or Freelancers for reconciliation of professional and family life linked to hiring.

Royal Decree-Law 1/2015, of February 27, on the second chance mechanism, reduction of financial burden and other social measures.

Social Security benefits are established for workers included in the Special Scheme for Self-Employed Workers who must attend to family obligations that may affect their business. Self-employed professionals will be entitled, for a period of up to twelve months, to a 100% reduction in their social security contributions for common contingencies, calculated by applying the average contribution base they had in the 12 months prior to the date they take advantage of this measure, in cases of caring for children under 7 years of age in their charge or caring for a dependent relative, by blood or marriage up to and including the second degree.

The bonus will be conditional upon remaining registered in the Scheme for 6 months after the expiry of the term of the bonus and the hiring of a full-time or part-time worker with a working day of no less than 50%, which must be maintained throughout the period of its enjoyment.

If the worker has been registered in the Special Social Security Scheme for Self-Employed Workers for less than 12 months, the average contribution base will be calculated from the date of registration.
