The Government is bringing forward the reduction of the tax burden planned for 2016 to the second half of 2015.

Reduction of withholdings since July 12, 2015.

Last Friday, July 10, a new general and savings scale for Personal Income Tax (IRPF) was approved, which will be applicable from January 1, 2015. This new scale, halfway between the one in force in the 2014 fiscal year and the one planned for 2016, aims to reconcile the taxation initially planned, which will be in force until this advance of the tax reduction, with the new taxation, thus avoiding the application of a double tax rate in the same fiscal year.

This reduction in the personal income tax brackets also leads to a reduction in withholding rates for different income levels so that withholdings are not excessive in relation to the final actual taxation.

We are attaching, for your information, the new withholding tax schedule introduced by Royal Decree-Law 9/2015 of July 10, on urgent measures to reduce the tax burden borne by taxpayers of Personal Income Tax and other economic measures that will help you in your daily management of invoices and of course in your collections/payments:
